In a few weeks, US President Barack Hussein Obama will deliver the State of the Union address to the Congress and the nation. No doubt the President will repeat the now familiar words of his predecessors, "The State of the Union is strong."
Perspective matters.
From the vantage point of a secularist who favors moral relativism--the redefinition of marriage, the devaluation of human life, and the demoralization of our culture--things are certainly looking great. But from the view of the virtuous--those who prize courage, temperance, prudence, justice, faith, hope, and love--America has never been in worse condition.
As it was in 18th century Great Britain, so it is in 21st century America. Only a revival of Scriptural holiness can save this judgment-bound nation.
Theologies that excuse or justify sin will not suffice in this hour.
Christians that ignore Christ's demand for "Total Truth" and "Divine Love" will never bring reform to our nation.
Churches that have imbibed the spirit of the age will never be infused with the Spirit of holiness.
It is time for us to seek God's face! It is time for us to gather together to advance the one message that will awaken and save this generation!
God has not called us to uncleanness, but unto holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4:7)
Without holiness no man shall see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14)
Now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. (Romans 6:9)
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Corinthians 7:1)
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:24)
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2)
